It would seem that if a religion does not challenge Christianity then it is not brought to the forefront as a comparison. However the Mormon doctrine because they are increasingly promoting themselves as being a true Christian religion is causing a great deal of stir among the Christian society. The Holy Spirit according to a the Mormons is the third God. the Holy Ghost is endowed with the power of the deity and not just a force. There are two substantial meanings when it comes to salvation according to the Mormons. There is a universal resurrection which is what they base the atonement of Christ was for. So this is what they class as general salvation and then the second part of salvation is in the individual salvation which is dealing with the sin of the individual person.

They do not contribute to the sin of Adam as sin is totally the responsibility of the individual.

These are just some of the major differences between the Mormon and Christian doctrine. He believes so strongly in the book of Mormon that he challenges if the book is a fallacy than it should be exposed as such. Prophesies That Did not Come True

Any faithful Mormon will boast of the many prophecies that have existed throughout their religion. What they will not boast about is the many that did not come true at all. One of the things that the Bible will tell you is that if a prophet is speaking in the name of the Lord and his prophecy does not come to pass then the prophet is not a true prophet.

According to Joseph there was to be a new temple which would be the beginning of Jerusalem built in the Jackson County Missouri area. As of this date there has been no such temple.

Another one of Joseph the great visions was that he prophesied that Jesus would return in 56 years again another fallacy of many.

There is no doubt that Joseph Smith certainly laid the foundation for the Mormon religion. They believe that everyone is saved by grace provided they have done everything they possibly can to live within the Mormon doctrine or have just failed a very few of the Mormon beliefs. Yet again it becomes almost a confusing type of religion because it would seem that no one has a strict foundation doctrine. If you were to start off asking five different Mormons what they believe you will never get the same answer. Again this is like the Freemasons.

Because the Mormons are very zealous in their recruitment by way of being missionaries there are many individuals that are added to the congregation that are unknowing just what they are getting into. Amongst their beliefs is also the fact that they must give generously according to their means of which is typing. According to Joseph. he states that he asked these heavenly bodies of what church he should join and was told that none of them because they were all wrong and that the fullness of the gospel of the truth would be revealed to him at another time.

Joseph told his family what happened and they believed him although many others did not and he was soon made a mockery of.

Joseph stood steadfast in his beliefs and nothing was going to sway him from this. He states that when he left the woods he was assured that the God head was up to three persons, separate individuals. He was also convinced that God hears and answers prayers. He was also of the mind that none of the churches were truthful and that he would be the one that would set the true religion

There was no doubt that the Joseph was feverish in his pursuit of this new religion. This is where the Mormon religion got its grounding. From just a few followers in no time at all is following grew to the thousands. It is now one of the top 10 religions in the United States. There seems to be no end to its growing and the modern name for the Mormon church now is the Church of the latter-day Saints.
